BiggsKofford Certified Public Accountants, a Colorado firm with more than forty years of excellence, is seeking a Mergers and Acquisitions Consultant to support our firm’s investment banking and M&A advisory division, operating as BiggsKofford Capital.
Due to sustained and rapid growth, BiggsKofford Capital (investment banking division of the CPA firm) seeks a Mergers and Acquisitions Consultant. Candidates should desire to work for a financial services firm that is focused on the long-term success of our clients and team members. The Mergers and Acquisitions Consultant candidate should have a desire to develop new skills and take on additional responsibilities, which will provide opportunities for advancement and pay increases.
Candidates for this position should enjoy working with entrepreneurs and closely-held companies. BiggsKofford Capital works with closely-held business clients to assist with sale transactions including: marketing companies for sale, negotiating price and terms, and supporting the selling client through due diligence. These projects include understanding accounting and the financial elements of a client’s business, and also requires an understanding of other business activities, such as banking, insurance, IT, human resources, legal documents, and more. In addition to mergers and acquisitions transactions, candidates may also work on projects assigned from the CPA firm’s consulting department. These projects might include valuation, bank financing, financial projections, key performance measures, and beyond.
BiggsKofford Certified Public Accountants has offices in Colorado Springs and Denver. The Mergers and Acquisitions Consultant position is staffed in the Colorado Springs office, but may have occasional projects performed in Denver. BiggsKofford enjoys an energetic work environment where efficiency and self-management take precedence over mandatory weekends and bureaucracy. Education, Experience, and Other Qualifications:
- Finance or Accounting degree required. Preference for MBA or similar experience.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Aptitude for building client relationships.
- Self-starter with project and time management skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and ability to learn new software.
